Uladzislau Hancharou demonstrated stable performance in the international arena throughout the season and won gold medals at the world and European championships, and the World Cup in the synchronized events together with Aleh Rabtsau.
According to the media, the Top Ten of 2018 also included Darya Domracheva (biathlon), Anastasiya Prokopenko (modern pentathlon), Aryna Sabalenka (tennis), Volha Mazuronak (athletics), Elvira Herman (athletics), Nadezhda Skardino (biathlon), Maksim Nedasekau (athletics), Aliaksandra Sasnovich (tennis).
Minchanka Minsk was named the best team of 2018 after finishing second in the 2018 CEV Volleyball Cup.
